Rena Vogel was born August 29, 1914 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan, United States. She was the daughter of Lammert Vogel and Roelfien Wiersema. ^{[1] [2]}

1858 -78 Rena worked at the Buffalo Hospital as a scrub nurse. March 1986 her husband Charles passed away. Rena volunteered and served on the advisory board at the Buffalo Community Center. She was a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary, Buffalo Senior high school lunch program and other organizations. In 1992 she was voted Outstanding Wright County Senior Citizen. ^[1]

June 20, 2013 Rena Vogel Ruckle passed away in Buffalo, Wright County, Minnesota, United States and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Buffalo, MN.^[1][7]
