Anna Marie Kluba died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, peacefully of natural causes. Anna was loved by many longtime friends; family was her wealth. Survivors include: Tom and Pam Kluba; Judy and Mike Johnson, of Carl Junction; Mike and Cherie Kluba, of Los Angeles; Coleen and Andrew Wilson and Jon and Angela Lowe, of Joplin, with who she resided for the past seven years. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Kluba. They were long time residents of Webb City, where Ed was manager of Elder Manufacturing. Annawas very involved with Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Red Cross and Ladies of Lion. Anna was one of the first employees of the J.C. Penney Co. in Washington, Mo., where she was born and raised. Working with J.C. Penney was a proud time in her life. She also enjoyed working at the Elder Outlet Store for many years. Even at 96, she will be greatly missed. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Friday followed by a visitation until 7:30 p.m. at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Joplin, with Father Lambert Leykem officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
