Hallo Eelco,

Allereerst natuurlijk van harte welkom bij Wikitree ! :

Ik heb gezien dat je een gedcom hebt geïmporteerd met een aantal duplicaten (=dubbele profielen), omdat het bij Wikitree de bedoeling is dat er van iedere persoon maar 1 profiel is en omdat deze vroege profielen onder het Dutch Roots project vallen, zijn ze al gemerged (samengevoegd).

Ook waren er een aantal losgeraakt van hun families tijdens de import, die heb ik weer voor je met de hier al aanwezige (profielen van) familieleden verbonden inmiddels. Het zou kunnen dat er nog een aantal losgeraakt zijn, dus ben nog even voor je op zoek en hoop dat het lukt om ze allemaal te vinden en te verbinden met de juiste families, zodat ook jouw stamboom dan weer kloppend is.

We hebben bij Wikitree verschillende projecten waar we als leden samen werken om zo alle profielen te voorzien van bronnen of te verbeteren als dit nodig is en om er dus voor te zorgen dat duplicaten gemerged worden, zodat er ook echt maar 1 profiel van iedere persoon is .

Als het je leuk lijkt ben je bij deze uitgenodigt en natuurlijk van harte welkom bij het Dutch Roots Project we hebben een heel leuk en gezellig team, allemaal heel enthousiaste mensen en sinds kort is er nu dus ook een Nederlands Portaal waar je alle Wikitree informatie nu dus ook in het Nederlands kunt vinden.

Er staat nu nog een merge op jouw goedkeuring te wachten Atze Nicolai , pas als je deze merge goedkeurt kunnen deze dubbele profielen samengevoegt worden en zal er dus weer , zoals het hoort, maar 1 profiel zijn voor deze persoon. Zie hier : Mergen voor meer informatie over het mergen of samenvoegen van profielen en hoe dit in zijn werk gaat.

Nou het is een heleboel informatie, dus lees het rustig even allemaal door en mocht je nog vragen of tips of opmerkingen hebben dan horen we het natuurlijk graag !

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

I have been working on my family tree for the last five years, and have thus far found just over 2100 relatives. I would like to contribute my findings to the community, as a quick scan shows there are some links, but some of my information seems to be new to the tree. I am hoping to both contribute and learn.
