A German politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nazi Germany from 1938 to 1945.
Ulrich Friedrich Wilhelm Joachim von Ribbentrop more commonly known as Joachim von Ribbentrop was born April 30, 1893 in Wesel, Rhine Province, German Empire. He was a son of Georg Julius Adolf Hermann Richard Ribbentrop and Johanna Sophia Hertwig.
He married Anna Elisabeth Franziska Henkell on July 5, 1920 in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany.
He was Foreign Minister of Nazi Germany from 1938 until 1945.
Joachim died October 16, 1946 in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Allied-occupied Germany. He was the first of those sentenced to death at Nuremberg to be hanged,
