Biography
Vowell, Louis Eugene Also known as Gene Vowell died peacefully at his home on September 3, 2010 surrounded by loved ones. Gene was born in Okmulgee, OK on February 15, 1922 to John and Georgia Vowell. Gene has resided in Ann Arbor since 1926. Preceded in death by his wife Esther Vowell, brothers John and Billy Vowell and his parents. Gene is survived by his daughter Carol Jean Ichinose and family and his dearest nephew Dennis Vowell and family along with many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and internment of remains will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Ann Arbor. The decease requested no flowers or services.
