Sarah Roome was born on December 25, 1725, in New York, New York, the daughter of William Roome and Sarah Turck. She married Arent Bussing on April 29, 1749, in Manhattan, New York. They had nine children in 18 years. She died on February 17, 1781, in her hometown at the age of 55.
