Nathaniel Wade, the son of Timothy Wade and Ruth Woodberry was born on 27 Feb 1749/50, in Ipswich, in the Province of Massachusetts Bay. He was baptized on 11 Mar 1749/50, in Ipswich.[1] [2]
Nathaniel was married to Mary Foster, daughter of Col. Joseph Foster and Lydia Giddings of Gloucester, on 17 Jul 1777, by the Rev. Mr. Eli Forbes of the First Parish Church in Gloucester. [3] [1] [4]

Mary Foster Wade died at the age of 28, on 25 Dec 1785, in Ipswich. [1] [5]
Nathaniel's second wife was Hannah Treadwell, daughter of Jacob and Martha Treadwell, whom he married on 29 Oct 1788, in Ipswich. [1] [6] [7]
Nathaniel and Hannah did not have any children registered in Ipswich.
Hannah died in Ipswich, May 4, 1814. [1]

Col. Nathaniel Wade, Esq., died in his 77th year, on 26 Oct 1826, in Ipswich, Massachusetts. He was buried in the South Cemetery in Ipswich. [1] [12][13]
Note: Find A Grave Memorial# 32477109 has picked up his baptismal date (11 Mar) instead of his birth date and has not corrected the year to match the Gregorian (New Style) calendar, so it reads 11 Mar 1749. He was born on 27 Feb 1749/50 (27 Feb 1750, New Style)
Since Nathaniel Wade had died intestate, his sons, Nathaniel Wade and William Foster Wade, petitioned on behalf of themselves and their sister, Mary, as the only surviving children of the deceased, to be made administrators of the estate. The petition was granted[14] and they both signed the administration bond to begin probate on their father's estate on 7 Nov 1826. They gave their professions as housewright (Nathaniel) and gentleman (William). Standing as sureties for the bond were Joseph Hodgkins, Esq., and Samuel Wade (gentleman).[15]
The real property of the estate was valued at $2,683.00.[16] The personal property was valued at $807.12.[17] After expenses and debts were deducted, each of the three surviving children (Nathaniel Wade, William Foster Wade, and Mary Wade) would receive $584.00.[18]
