Biography

Mary Wade was born on April 16, 1800, likely in Kentucky. She was the oldest child of William Wade and Anny Johnson who were living in Kentucky as early as 1798.

Mary married James Ephraim Durham before she turned 18, in Madison County, Kentucky. Together they had 8 children born between 1817 and 1829 in Cole County, Missouri.

Shortly after James Durham's death in 1844, Mary became the wife of William Fletcher.
