Biography

Viola Wadsworth was born about 1867 in Butler, Wayne County, New York. She was the daughter of Daniel Hill Wadsworth and Sally Jane Phelps. ^{[1] [2]}

On January 22, 1914, she married Marion Olmstead of Conquest, New York. At 46 years of age, it was her first marriage, and for 69-year-old Marion it was his third. In 1920, they were in Conquest (Spring Hill) and he was working out as a farm laborer. ^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}

Marion died in 1924 and Viola applied for a pension against his Civil War service in March 1927. ^[7]

Viola Olmstead died December 17, 1940 in Spring Lake. She is buried in Spring Lake Cemetery, Conquest, Cayuga County, New York. ^[8]
