Peleg, son of John and Mercy (Wiswall) Wadsworth, was born in Duxbury, MA on August 29, 1715. About 1741 (not recorded) he married Lusanna Sampson, daughter of John and Priscilla (Bartlett) Sampson. They resided in Duxbury all their lives with eight of their thirteen children reaching adulthood. Peleg served in the Revolutionary War. He died in Duxbury on July 28, 1799 almost 11 years to the day of losing his wife. He is buried there at Mayflower Cemetery.
