Biography

Born before 1680, exact date uncertain.

Married Benjamin Peterson on 9th of February, 1698.

Died "the night following the 6th" of February, 1732/3.

Parentage

Old version:

Parents of Hannah are uncertain.

She could be the daughter of Deacon John Wadsworth and Abigail Andrews, although there is no record of a daughter Hannah for them in 250 Years of Wadsworths in America. However that doesn't mean they did not have a daughter, Hannah. She would be about the right age, and was in the right town. No other Wadsworths have a daughter Hannah listed.

One of her children is named Mercy and they had a daughter, Mercy.

Aug 2020 Update:

According to an article published in "The Mayflower descendant", by George Earnest Bowman, Hannah is mentioned in the inventory of the estate of her mother Abigail Andrews Wadsworth. The title of the article is "Aaron Soule's wife Mary Wadsworth and the Marriages of Five of Her Sisters" and details the probate records for Deacon John and his wife Abigail, as well as additional links between the sisters.

The names listed, by drawing lots, in Abigail's inventory of her estate are as follows: Mary Soul, Abigail Tomson, Sarah Wadsworth, Hannah Peterson, Lydia Peterson, Grace Sprague, Hopestill Brewster and Mercy Wadsworth
