We are connected through Samuel Tracey (Tracy-634). He is one of my great-grandfather's brothers (Benjamin Franklin Tracy - Tracy-3189). I am unable to add him to my great-grandfather's list of brothers since his profile already exists, managed by you! I have information on Samuel's other brothers Edwin, Henry, George, William (there were two Williams, one died as an infant) and his sisters Sarah, Mary Ann, Hannah, Esther, and Eliza That was compiled by my father Harold Benjamin Tracy's sister Ena Tracy Horton. I also have a transcription of a letter Sam wrote to his mother while with the US Army in 1864 during the Civil War. Apparently he came back from the US after the Civil War spelling his surname differently and with an American wife! We need to compare notes! Please get in touch!
According to the sources, her last name at birth was Davies. Have a look and see what you think. If you do not have time to update this, add me to the trusted list and I can help.
Thanks,
Thanks for helping with Wikitree
Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.
Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .
If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .
If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.
A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Thanks for joining WikiTree! As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, post a comment on my profile page or send a private message.
Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so look for duplicates before adding new profiles. Remember to add dates and locations. And if you have royal ancestors, contact the EuroAristo Project to see about connecting to pre-existing royal lines.
If you feel lost, start with How To Use WikiTree, and check out the Help Index.
Carole Partridge, WikiTree Mentor
If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top right, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.
Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.
Thanks, Bill
I'm a student who's hoping to go into genealogy-type studies after high school. I haven't been able to find much information on my own family, and hope that WikiTree might be able to help me tie up some loose ends of my current (and quite small) family tree. I can't wait to learn all about building tree, and connecting with family members (hopefully!)
