Thomas was baptised in 1831 in East Winch, Norfolk, England. He was the son of Thomas Wagg and Sarah Riches.[1] His mother died in 1839.[2]
Thomas served as a Colour Sergeant in the 36th Regiment of Foot and was pensioned on 27 October 1868.[3]
He married Harriet Crane that year;[4] in 1871 the family lived in Wendling, Norfolk. Thomas was an "innkeeper and pensioner".[5] By 1881 they had moved to King's Lynn, Norfolk.[6]
Thomas died in 1886 at the age of 54[7] and was buried in King's Lynn.[8]
