Memorial Inscription, St Edmund, Crofton "Near this place are laid the remains of the Hon Elizabeth Blackwood wife of the Hon Henry Blackwood of the Kingdom of Ireland a Captain in his Majesty's Royal Navy. She departed this life on the 30th day of October 1802 aged nearly 24. During a lingering and painful illness which gradually exhausted and brought her in her prime to the grave she manifested by her pious resignation to the will of God how well prepared she was for another world. Her afflicted husband has caused this memorial to be erected as a testimonial of his pure Affection and grateful esteem A tribute justly due to the sweetness of her Disposition gentleness of Manners and exemplary Conduct in the relative Characters of Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter and a Friend"
