Biography

Laura was born on 1 June 1881, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Frederick Wagner and Ellen Callahan.[1]

On 25 December 1904, she married Bertram Elmer MacColl. They apparently had at least five children: [2]

Ellen MacColl (1908-2001)
Roslyn MacColl (1909-1909)
Alan MacColl (1909-?)
Ruby MacColl (1910-1973)
Bernard MacColl (1912-1912)

She died on 27 June 1912, at Philadelphia Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, of pulmonary tuberculosis. She was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on 1 July 1912. [3]

Research Note

The available evidence suggests she was born after 1880. Is she the Laura MacColl living with her parents in the 1880 census? Or did that Laura died, and her parents reuse the name?
