Andrew Wake was born circa 1218, at Bingham's Melcombe, Dorset, England.[1]
Andrew was the father of:
Joan Wake, who was married to Alan Plugenetalias de Plogenet, de Plukenet, de Plugenet, de Plokenat, de Plokenet, de Plokeneth;[2]
On 4 June, 1267, at Stratford, Henry III, king of England, committed during pleasure to Andrew Wake the counties of Somerset and Dorset, and on 6 June a mandate to Ralph Russel said he was to deliver to Andrew the said counties with their rolls, writs, &c.[3]
A writ regarding Alan Plugenet alias de Plogenet, de Plukenet, de Plugenet, de Plokenat, de Plokenet, de Plokeneth issued on 25 December, 27 Edward I [1298], instigated Inquisitions early in 1299 which found that Andrew Wake gave Joan his daughter in free marriage with the manor of Tangeleygh, Southampton, to Alan.[2]
