Biography

William Wakefield was baptised on 13 May 1739 at Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire, son of Edward and Elizabeth.[1]

William was a beneficiary and Executor of the will of his father, Edward Wakefield of Stratton St Margaret, the will made on 19 Oct 1770 and proved on 15 May 1771.[2]

William Wakefield of Stratton St Margaret married Sarah Panting of Stratton St Margaret on 05 Nov 1761 at Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire.[3]

Children of William and Sarah Wakefield baptised at Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire:[4]

  • Elizabeth (Wakefield) Adams (baptised 14 Jan 1762)
  • Edward Wakefield (baptised 20 Nov 1763)
  • William Wakefield (baptised 07 Oct 1765)

Sarah Wakefield was buried on 23 Jun 1767 at Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire.[5]

William Wakefield, 'bachelor', of Stratton St Margaret married Mary Miflin, spinster, of Cricklade St Sampson on 10 Dec 1767 at Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire.[6]
