The ' Mur. Times' says :—A wedding that drew more than the usual number of friends and spectators together, took place at St. Paul's Church, Murrurundi, on Thursday last, when the Rev. J. Ross, M.A., united in "the holy bonds of matrimony" Mr. William Wakeford, the eldest son of Mr. Wakeford, the contractor for the railway extension, and Miss Hammond, of Werris Creek, Liverpool Plains.
Great interest was evinced in the event, particularly by the lady portion of the community, which was not diminished by the fact of there being eight bridesmaids and the same number of groomsmen. Mr. Schofield, the organist at St. Paul's, treated the company to " Mendelssohn's Wedding March" while the register was being signed, after which the " Joy Bells" announced the completion of the ceremony.
The happy couple left for Sydney by the afternoon train, with the best wishes of all who were in any way acquainted with them.
