TOWNSVILLE, June 12
The death last night of Samuel Oswald Wakeford, 62, removes one of the best known business men of the north. A resident of Townsville for nearly half a century he conducted an auctioneering and commission agency. He took an active part in sporting and civic life. His widow, four daughters, and two sons survive him.
