The Newent Church records show baptisms of John Wallbridge's children as follows: William, May 21, 1738; John, April 13, 1740; Samuel, Oct. 31, 1742. The South Coventry records state that Isaac (s. John, bp. Apr. 6, 1746) and Hannah (see above) were born at Preston, so John, Sr., must have been there as late as 1748, removing thence to Coventry, Conn., where the Town Records give the births of the last five children.
The Griswold Society was established in October 1716 as North or Second Church of Preston by division of the First Society.
