Hi Raymond, I agree with you that they really are the same person.

I'm not sure what is holding up the merge. Maybe In order to merge you first might need to either change the privacy settings on him, add the other manager to your trusted list for this profile, get the other manager to approve it. For me the duplicates having the same mother and being seen with the same family group in the 1920, 1930, 1940 US Census feels pretty convincing.

Probably me and my brief coma. I was very out of life for a huge chunk of this year.

Waldo-21 and Waldo-698 appear to represent the same person because: same mother, birth date almost identical

The system is giving this warning about the date conflict between Leslie and Leslie Wilson Waldo:

Warning: Check the data. A birth date (Waldo-21 born 11 Nov 1914) should not be within eight months of a sibling's birth date (Waldo-698 born 17 Nov 1914) unless they are twins born within a day of each other.

They really do look like duplicates with a tiny date conflict probably based on mistranscription. They can't be necronyms based on how close the dates are. They would not be twins with the identical name. There are no sources to show they are different.

One profile is locked via privacy settings...maybe that is making the merge difficult for someone without trusted status to complete.

Will it help if I remove myself? If this gentleman's close family is here, I absolutely want them to have care of the entries. I'm a Waldo, so I've adopted "orphaned" Waldos & others, just let me know! I need to update my email, I haven't gotten any of these messages for months.

I don't think you being a manager is the hitch at all, and you being a co-manager would give Raymond an experienced person to coordinate with if you decide to stay on.

History: It was proposed as a merge and then rejected as a merge by Randall Spencer. Since it is a true duplicate, I "removed" the rejected merge status and resubmitted a merge request. Raymond agreed on comments that it is a duplicate, but I am not sure if he approved it from his end. If he has approved, you could jump in and approve and try to complete it. I was unable to complete it just now. But if you can't complete it.....it could be the hitch is that Raymond still has his 1/2 of the duplicate locked in yellow status and we might need to coach him through how one clicks on the lock symbol and scrolls down to select an opened lock status.

Waldo-21 and Waldo-698 do not represent the same person because: unmerging
