Mr and Mrs Walford's son, Noel, died in 1927, aged twenty-two years.[5]
Henry Hugh's wife died at Layer-de-la-Haye, Essex, in 1944, aged sixty-seven years.[6]
Henry Hugh Walford died at Danbury, Essex, on the 28th August 1948, aged seventy-six years.[7][8]

Award from the Royal Humane Society (1892)
News extract from the East Anglian Daily Times, 17 November 1892:
The Royal Humane Society have granted an honorary testimonial on vellum to Henry Hugh Walford, third son of Mr. James Walford, for saving the life of Campbell R. Dudley, who was knocked overboard when yachting, in August last, on the Norfolk Broads. Without divesting himself of his clothes, Mr. Walford jumped into deep water and saved the semi-conscious lad.[11]
