Biography

Tobias' estate records prove she was alive on 15 July 1762.[1]

Research Notes

Her parents were originally given as Hans Martin Walk and Catherine Clore; however, she is far too old to be their child. I've disconnected them and additional research needs to be done to determine who her parents were. -- Fiscus-32 16:20, 5 July 2016 (EDT)

Clore-2 and Walke-9 do not represent the same person because: Different names

Catherine Walke wilhoite, could not have died in 1759 if her husband was Tobias Wilhoite/Willhite, born 1708. Tobias's will leaves her the "rest of my estate" dated 1762, And it states "THIS LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF TOBIAS WILHOITE, DECEASED, WAS EXHIBITED TO THE COURT BY CATHERINE WILHOITE, HIS WIDOW," THURSDAY, THE

20th. DAY OF MAY 1762

Walke-9 and Walke-61 appear to represent the same person because: Same husband and birth date. Original profile not picked up because of the spelling of the last name. Willheit vs. Wilhoit.

I think she's connected to the wrong parents. In addition to being too old for Hans Martin Walk and Catherine Clore, they had a daughter Catharina Walk born in 1729.
If she was really born in 1712 in Germany, then she cannot possibly be the daughter of Catherine Clore (born about 1718) and Martin Walk (born about 1710), who married in Virginia in 1735.

Could she be Martin Walk's sister instead?
