I'm new to Wikitree, but not to genealogy. I've just recently started focusing on my Brisbin line and wondered if you. could help clear the cloudy records for me. I'm a descendant of George Washington Brisbin, and I start to get confused when trying to research his father, William Wesley Brisbin, and his father, William Brisbin. The "Williams" start to collide/overlap for me and I'm starting to think there were 2 William Brisbin lines at around the same time. I was wondering if you're familiar enough with this particular line of Brisbins to maybe chat with me about it sometime? I located a book by Perry Brisbin called The Descendants of James Brisbin of New York State, 1724-1983 that records the descendants of James Brisbin, who came from Scotland via Ireland. I was unable to positively identify any of my William Brisbins in the book. I am always hesitant to link a record to someone in my tree if I can't identify them by more than just their name, so its possible I'm omitting correct information to William Brisbin that should be linked. I hope that makes sense.
Anyways, if you're familiar with the Brisbin line and would be willing to discuss please let me know!
