Reverend Alfred Edgar Walker was born in 1877 at Macdonald River, New South Wales, Australia. He was the fourth son of Aaron Walker and Frances Morris.[1]
He married Violet Lavis in 1909 at Newcastle, New South Wales.[2]
In response to what he believed to be a strong call from God, Alfred became a Methodist minister. For some years he was recognised as the Methodist Evangelist in New South Wales. His son, Reverend Sir Alan Edgar Walker, became even more widely known as a Methodist speaker and evangelist throughout Australia in the period 1950-1953, being appointed superintendent of the Wesley Central Mission, Sydney.
He passed away on 13th June 1966 at Balmain, New South Wales.[3]
