Hello Julie

I am trying to find some Walkers related to me as I haven't found any before. I did the Living DNA Autosomal and mtDNA tests. My GedMatch number is Z051094 and the one compatible with Genesis beta is: HN9149544. My mtDNA Haplogroup is U5b2a1b

Cheers

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.Michelle~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi Julie

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 63 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles!

Dorothy, Volunteer Coordinator.

Welcome! My 3rd great grandmother, Betsey Walker, (720) is listed in the 1861 book "Memorial of the Walkers of the Old Plymouth Colony". Did you know that ForgottenBooks.org published a reprint in 2013?

Welcome to the Wiki Family, J. Walker --

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

The Question of the Week is “Honoring USA Independence Day - Were any of your ancestors on the "wrong side" in a war?” Stop by to join in the discussion.

See you in the branches --

Hi J. Walker,

A warm welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used and it is FREE. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

We’re really glad you’re here. More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.

Ludwig :)
