Biography
Louisa Jane Walker was born in 1841 in Pendleton, Lancashire, England to Samuel Walker and Jane (Brown) Walker. Her birth was registered in Salford, Lancashire in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Brown.[1]
In 1851 Louisa Jane Walker (age 9, Scholar) lived at Prospect Hill in Pendleton with her father Samuel (64, LAndholder & Prop of Houses), mother Jane (52), visitor Ellen Walker (53, Annuitant), and three servants: Mary Murray (24), Margaret Leach (35), and Ellen Jones (29).[2]

Louisa Jane Walker married Charles Edward Ranken in 1867. The marriage was registered in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in the second quarter of the year.[3]
In 1871 Louisa J Ranken (age 29, Clergyman's wife) and her two children - Arthur W (3) and Francis A J (0) - were staying in Cheltenham in the household of her sister Francis A Walker (36, Interest Income).[4] Louisa's husband Charles E (43, Curate) was a lodger in Hanley Castle, Worcestershire.
In 1881 Louisa J Ranken (age 39) lived at Priory Road in Great Malvern, Worcestershire with her husband Charles E (53, Without Cure of Souls) and three children: Francis A J (10, Scholar), Emily F (5), and Herbert E (3), as well as visitor Anne Fisher (44) and four servants: Sarah Harris (25, Parlour Maid), Elizabeth Stanton (23, Cook), Annie E Highton (19, Nursemaid), and Susan G Hunt (14, Nursemaid).[5]
In 1891 Louisa J Rankin (age 49) lived at Priory Road in Great Malvern with her husband Charles E (63, Clerk in Holy Orders), daughter Frances A J (20), and servant Mary George (58, Cook).[6]
In 1901 Louisa J Ranken (age 59) was staying in Cheltenham.[7] Her husband Charles Edward (73, Clergyman Ch of Engd) lived in Great Malvern with three servants.
Louisa Jane Ranken passed away on 10 Feb 1903, aged 61 years. Her death was registered in Upton on Severn, Worcestershire in the first quarter of the year.[8]
