In the 1860 Census (enumerated on 12 June 1860) 12-year-old Adeline is living in the tavern owned by her grandfather, Pleasant Nelson, in the 9th Civil district of Maury County , Tennessee. Her parents, siblings and other members of her family also lived in the Tavern. I N Walker could be Joseph Nelson who was born in 1935 and brother of Elvira. She was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia on 29 Nov 1920, Oakes & Nichols, Undertakers, officiating. ^[12] Addie's Find-a-Grave memorial shows a picture of her headstone inscribed "Elvira Walker Lipscomb 1848--1920". ^[13]
