Biography

Lena Gardner Walker was born November 17, 1889 in the Indian Territory that is present day Oklahoma to William Wesley "Wes" Walker and Georgia Ann (Odum) Walker. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

On May 14, 1909 Lena married Riley Acree in Comanche, Oklahoma, United States. ^[5]

On October 14, 1909 Lena and Riley Acree had a son Kenneth William "Bill" Acree in Oklahoma. ^[3]

On the 1910 US Census Lena is shown living in Hulen, Comanche, Oklahoma, United States in the household of her father William Wesley "Wes" Walker along with her mother Georgia Ann (Odum) Walker her brother Cass Preston Walker, her sister Una V Walker , her sister Perna "Pernie" E Walker, and ther brother Levi Clinton Walker. ^[3] On the 1910 US Census Lena is listed as divorced and is going by her maiden name Walker. ^[3]

On July 15, 1915 Lena marries Henry Walton Blankenship in Jackson, Oklahoma, United States. ^[4] Lena's son Kenneth William "Bill" Acree begins going by the last name Blankenship after his mother marries Henry Walton Blankenship ^{[6] [7]}

In about 1917 Lena and Henry Walton Blankenship had their first child together, a daughter, Bernice Blankenship in Oklahoma. ^{[8] [9]}
