Martin was born in 31 January 1879 in Salvisa, Mercer County, Kentucky, United States. He was the son of Henry Harrison Walker and Alice (Edwards) Walker. Martin died at the age of 67 on 19 October 1946 in Frankfort, Franklin, Kentucky (died from a house fire located in VanArsdall, Mercer County, Kentucky and is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery located in Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky [9]
