Biography

George was born in 1900. He was the youngest son of Seymour Walker and Carlotta Anderson.

George was a graduate of Western Michigan Normal School. After graduation, he worked as a teacher. He married Frieda Bolton in 1927 in Ohio. They had two sons, Lloyd and Robert. They were divorced when the boys were young, sometime between 1933 and 1937, when he remarried to Helen Yoke in 1937. The two sons lived with their father. Helen was also a school teacher. They did not have any children together and soon separated. Their divorce was finalized on 28 Aug 1946 and two weeks later, George married for a third time, to Pauline Skillman on 12 Sep 1946. When he registered for the World War II draft in 1942, he was described as 5'8" tall, 170 lbs., with blue eyes, brown hair and a dark complexion. He named his brother, Leland, as his next of kin. He passed away in Kalamazoo on 18 Jul 1974.
