Carmaletta ("Leta") was born in 1906. She was the daughter of William E. Walker and Veronica Kossler.
There is some question regarding Leta's first name, "Carmaletta", which is unresolved at this time. She was always known as "Leta"; however, the Walker family suggests that her first name may have been Carmaletta. No source for this suggestions has been found.
She passed away in 1994.
In 1910 , James Walker (62) was listed as living in Precinct 8, Boulder, Colorado on Rossleir Camp & Divinity (Street) as a rancher owing his own home. His occupation is listed as a "Stock Tracer". at this time he is living with his wife, Fidelia Walker (65).
James Walker's son William E. and his children are listed as household member; but, his last name Walker is misspelled. They are listed as William Wathen 33 and his wife Veronica Wathen age 32 and his grand children: Leta Wathen 4, Ruth Wathen 2.
Again, the family is listed in the 1920 Census as living in Boulder County, Colorado. James Walker (72) was widowed living with the family of his son William Walker (42), his wife, Veronica (41), and his is children: Leta M. Walker 14, Ruth C. Walker 12, Delia K. Walker 6, Helen F. Walker 4, Esther L. Walker 2, James F. Walker 1. William's occupation was listed as farmer.
