Biography

William was born 20 May 1846 supposedly in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, United Kingdom, but some records state he was born at Burrowa in New South Wales and was sent to Scotland as a 3 year old where he was educated.

In 1872 Mr. Walker married Georgina, daughter of the late Mr. Palmer, of Highfields, Toowoomba, Queensland, with whom he produced a family of eight sons and six daughters.

He passed away in March 1900 at Tenterfield, New South Wales, Australia and his wife survived him. He is buried in the Tenterfield Cemetery, in Tenterfield New South Wales, Australia.
