Alexander Walker was born in 1886 at Caddy, County Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of Mary Rachel Walker and an unknown father.[1]
In the 1901 Ireland census, Alexander Walker was age 15, living at Caddy, Co. Antrim in the household of his uncle Robert Samuel Walker (44), a farmer, his wife Martha Walker (41) and their nine children, Minnie, Lizzie, Matilda, Samuel J, John, Charlotte, Sarah Agnes, Nathan and Robert. Also Alexander's mother Mary R Walker (42), aunt Charlotte Walker (39) and grandmother Mary Walker (72).[2]
Alexander Walker, a blacksmith, of Caddy, County Antrim married Elizabeth Mann of Caddy, County Antrim on 2 February 1911 at First Antrim Presbyterian Church, Antrim, County Antrim.[3]
Alexander and Elizabeth Walker had at least four children: Mary (b. 1911), James (b.1912), William (b. 1914) and Elizabeth (b. 1917).
In the 1911 Ireland census, Alexander Walker, a blacksmith, was age 25, living at Caddy, Co. Antrim with his wife Elizabeth Walker (25), mother Mary R Walker (52) and aunt Charlotte Walker (49).[4]
