Biography

The administrators of her husband's estate were James Williams and Garrett Williams, Hester's brothers.

Children

Hester and Richard had the following children (as mentioned in his will) [1]:

  • Moses
  • Richard
  • Timothy
  • Joshua
  • Sarah
  • Zilphia
  • Elizabeth

After Richard's death, she married Archibald Miller and had two sons[2]:

  • Archibald Miller Jr. (born 1809)
  • Benjamin D. Miller. (not mentioned in PWG; handwritten into the copy by unknown person)

She and her second husband, along with most of her Kirkland children, moved to Appling County circa 1820 and settled in the portion which is now Coffee County.[3]

She appears on the 1830 census (age 60-69) living in the household of her son Archibald Miller Jr.[4]

Her death date/location is unknown, although some claim it to be in Bulloch, Georgia and others claim Morgan, Georgia.

Walker-7727 and Williams-73562 appear to represent the same person because: the sources reflect that his wife was a Williams, not a Walker. Her brothers were the administrators of her husband's estate. Hester Walker should be detached from the parents shown and merged into the Hester Williams profile. George Walker had a daughter 'Esther'; she married a Carter.
At this time, I cannot agree to merge these two profiles. All of the data I've seen support her Last Name as Walker.

Please provide us with the 'data' that you mention Ted, that support her maiden name.

Laura, I've never seen a name for Richard's wife. Does the biography you list as a source list her and, if so, what source does it give for their marriage?
