L.G. Donald "Donald" Wall was born on 1 March 1914 in Kent, Michigan, United States to LG Wall and Berma Benjamin. He grew up with his parents and siblings on a farm in Nelson Township, Kent County, Michigan, United States. Donald completed two years of high school. ^{[1] [2]}

Donald's obituary reads: "L. G. Donald Wall, aged 70, of Crescent NE, passed away Friday, August 24, 1984 in St. Mary's Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Cecilia; five children, Geraldine Piechocki, Donald T. (Sharry) Wall, Susan A. (Jerry) Palmer, Julia (John) Moulds, and Joseph (Kathy) Wall; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Phelps and Margaret Phelps; two brothers, Benjamin and David. The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 2pm. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday at 2:30pm in St. Isidore Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery." ^[9]
