Biography

Stephen was born about 1848. Stephen, son of Stephen Wall, married Annie Baylis on 25 April 1875 in St James the Great, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets, England.[1] In the 1881 census Stephen (age 28), House Decorater, was the married head of household at 11 Gothic Cottages Chase Side, Enfield, Middlesex, England.[2] In the 1891 census Stephen (age 39) was the head of household in Willesden, Middlesex, England.[3] In the 1901 census Stephen (age 49) was the head of household in Paddington, London, England.[4]

Stephen, his wife Annie and son Edward migrated to Adelaide aboard the Bremen, sailing from Harwich on 13 November 1908 and arriving in Adelaide on 7 Mar 1909. Two daughters, Lily and Nellie arrived on later voyages.

Stephen died on 29 July 1914 and was buried in West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide, Adelaide City, South Australia, Australia.[5]
