Hi William,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your tags the US History Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Hi William,

A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!

Click here to start with our New Member How To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!

Hi William,

At WikiTree we do not analyze or store your RAW DNA. We help DNA cousins find each other. We do that by letting you identify which tests you have taken and whether you have uploaded your test to the website.

When you add your DNA test information, it takes about 24 hours for the system to add your profile link to the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants. That is why there need to be profiles for your ancestors.

Check out that How-To link we sent in your confirmation email, especially the Getting Started with DNA part at the bottom. Then start adding your family profiles.

Please make sure to review any suggested matches because there are lots of profiles already here. You may be able to make a fast connection to the Global WikiTree.
