Immigration records have Shadrach listed as Frederick on the immigrant list
He travelled as a part of the British Assisted Immigration Scheme with his parents Samuel (aged 36), Ann (aged 37) and siblings Thomas (aged 11) Elizabeth ( aged 6) and Harriet( aged 2) Shadrach was aged 10. They arrived upon the ship "Ward Chapman" They arrived in Port Melbourne 16th December 1841[1][2].
Emily Eliza Pickering and Shadrach Wall were married in 1853 in East Melbourne, Colony of Victoria[3].
In 1867 Shadrach was appointed to the Pipers Creek school board. This was a gazetted entry in the Victoria Gazette[4].
Wife, Emily passed away on 8 April 1870 in Carlsruhe, Colony of Victoria
The Kyneton Observer 18th June 1874. States: Shadrach Wall was summonsed for wilfully assaulting John Piper on the 4th June 1874, the palintiff had given great provocation by calling him names. Wall was fined 5 shillings and 2 shillings costs[5].
Emma Ann White and Shadrach Wall were married in 1872 in Rushworth, Victoria[6].
There are other mentions of incidents in the Kyneton Observer about court actions pertaining to John Piper and Shadrach Wall all seemingly related to monies owed and ploughing work these other actions were all dismissed.
The discrepancies around his name continued until after death With his tombstone spelling his name Shadrack.
Shadrach had varied employment he was a storekeeper, brewer and gold miner during his years in Rushworth.
He passed away on 20 May 1896 in Rushworth, Colony of Victoria[7] and was buried at the Rushworth Cemetery[8].
