↑ "John Robert Clinton Buried At Beersheba" in The Rock Hill Herald, 25 Apr 1936, page 2. York, April 25 -- John Robert Clinton, 62, who died yesterday afternoon at his home near York was to be buried this afternoon at the Beersheba Presbyterian Church. Mr. Clinton's parents were John Clinton and Mrs. Emmaline Branch Clinton. Surviving are his wife and several children.

Burial was to be in the Beersheba church cemetery. Mrs. Clinton was born Jan. 11, 1880 in York County, a daughter of the late William T. and Mrs. Nancy Bolin Wallace. She was a member of the Kings Mountain Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, William Wallace Clinton, Clover, R. 3, Louis G. Clinton, Hickory, N.C. Rt. 2, three stepsons, Dan Clinton, Ervin Clinton, Grady Clinton, all of York; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Sarah Clinton of York; a number of grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Wallace of York; one sister, Mrs. John Winkler of Clover.
