RIVER OAKS -- Ann Wallace Blackburn left this life on Thursday, July 6, 2017, for her heavenly home. Ann was born Feb. 26, 1922, to Walter William Wallace and Myra Jeane Coleman Strader Wallace in Justin. She was a homemaker extraordinaire, a wonderful cook, seamstress, and loved the babies of Castleberry Baptist Church for many years as a nursery worker. The last 20 years she has been a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church where she had many treasured friends. God honored her with a long life of 95 years, and she is surely singing his praises in heaven now. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, William Howard Blackburn; parents; all of her siblings; and her only son, William Walter Childress. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Camille Blackburn Boyd and Melissa Kendrick and her husband, Ken; grandchildren, Scott Childress, Kristy Kendrick Byrne, Jeff Childress, Shannon Boyd Craycraft, Jennifer Kendrick and Weston Boyd; great-grandchildren; and her newest great-great-granddaughter.
