John Wallace is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A119923.

Biography

John was born about 1736. He was the son of William Wallace and Hannah Woods. He passed away about 1814.[1]

"John lived near Greenwood with his wife Mary, sold out to brother William, and in 1780 removed to Washington Co., VA" (see source book)

Some trees have him dying in Kentucky or Butler Co. OH

Michael's second son John sold his land in Virginia in 1780 and eventually emigrated to Kentucky, where he died.

John Wallace, born 19 May 1736 in Goochland County, Virginia, died 1814, Butler County, Ohio.[2]
He was a signer of the Albemarle Declaration of Independence.[2]
His residences included Albemarle County and Rockbridge County.[2]
John married Mary Whorry and had seven children:
  • John Wallace, married Mary Banks[2]
  • Polly, who married Robert Sigerson[2]
  • Hannah Phillips
  • Rosanna Stout
  • Patsy Cassaday
  • Thomas d.1830 unmarried
