• Charles was born Dec 1874 in Oil City, Ontario, Canada ^[1]

• in 1881 he was with his parents and siblings in Petrolia, Ontario, ^[2][3]

• 1891 he was a few miles south in Oil Springs, Ontario^[4]

• 1905 about this time he married Florence Emma Radcliff Siske

• 23 Apr 1906 a daughter Florence Elaine Radcliff Wallen in Oil Springs, Ontario^[5]

• 1911 Charles and family are heading to the oil fields of Grozny, Russia. He is to be the field manager of the North Caucasian Oil Co. Ltd^[6]

• a son Charlie is born about 1912

• in 1917 the family was fleeing for their lives as a Revolution broke out^[7] A summary of London Free Press article
