John Wallis was born in Kingston Seymour, Somerset, England.

John was born in Kingston Seymour, Somerset, England, on October 28, 1898.^[1] He was the son of John Wallis and Frances Stuckey. He was enumerated in the 1901 census ^[2] as a two year old residing with his parents and two siblings in Kingston Seymour. His father was a "Farmer & Ass't Overseer". John was one of five children residing with his parents at Cherry Tree Farm, Kingston Seymour, in 1911.^[3]

John married Lily Padfield in 1921.^[4] The marriage took place on April 2nd in Downside, Somerset.^[5] It appears the couple had at least two children, Betty Joan, 1923, and Pamela J., 1929. The family appeared in the 1939 Register^[6] residing at Sea Wall Farm, Long Ashton, Somerset. John's occupation "Dairy Farmer (Master Man)".

John passed away on May 7, 1964.^[7] His residence at time of death was Sea Wall Farm, Kingston Seymour. His Probate was administered on June 19, 1964, in Bristol naming widow Lillie Wallis. ^[8] John was sixty five.
