William Walls Sr. is a part of US Black heritage.

William Walls was born about 1801. He was the father of Civil War soldier Albert Walls who served with the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of all.

Said to have been literate, William served as one of Hosanna's preachers and owned a ten-acre farm in Lower Oxford.[1]

Death

He passed away in 1854 and is buried at Hosanna Meeting House Cemetery in Oxford, Pennsylvania.

Research Notes

The 1850 census taker seems to have only noted state birthplace when it changed, so I believe William was born in Maryland, but not 100% sure yet.
