Thanks for having a Big Heart ? and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read 'After adopting orphans' to understand what to do next. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for posting Shirley Coneen Olfert's website regarding John Crossman. I should have done so myself - so now it's out there for anyone else who comes along seeking information. This is the site where my research started, and Shirley is still working on it. We should all check back from time to time, in case she has made an important breakthrough.
Hi, Dougie. Welcome to the Walsh group. I have an ancestor (Connors) from Enniscorthy. Easy to find his birth record on the NLI records. I saw lots of Walshes from that area, including Old and New Ross and a widened search in the Diocese of Ferns. Good luck with your search.
How are you? I'm Robin a WikiTree Mentor. Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.
Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.
With over 200 unsourced profiles on your watchlist, please be careful of taking on too much work.
Hi Dougie, Maybe we can find our common Acadian or Mayflower ancestor, genetically. I'd love to take a look. Have you triangulated the segment? My mother is also on FF. Roberta
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like Irish Roots
would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Changing your tag to Irish_Roots will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Yes, I have known for a while that we are cousins. You state having confirmed this on Family Fiinder. Perhaps it is my old brain playing tricks with my memory?; but, how does one log on to Family Finder? Is that connected to Family Tree?
This Leo is the great uncle of my wife. She has lots of information about Leo and also the family ancestral line. send us a private e-mail if you wish to connect.

Sorry to say I can't find anything on Leo Jphn, Julia, or his father John. I have a copy of "Histoire de Quinan" but we would need another generation to make a connection there. I did find Leo's Death Certificate. There are quite a few John and Julia in the vital records and census, but nothing linking them together or to Leo. Do you have anything else that could narrow it down, a sibling perhaps? The answer would be in the Ste. Agnes Parish records, they have a copy at the Argyle Courthouse.
Thank you for your extensive research on the Metis and Barnabe Martin ancestry! I am also descended from both lines and have done much research on both.
I noticed on another page here today (can't remember which one) that you thanked the person for the correction on a Marguerite Martin. When I clicked on her name, I came across (once again) Marguerite Ann Martin. She and I are 4th cousins 2x removed. Our first common ancestor is Amand Martin who is my 3rd great grandfather (confirmed). Thanks once again for your research.
Do you mind having a look at Bannister-2324 and telling me if you think this is your Ruth? If it is, can we initiate a merge? Many thanks Janette

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.
