Biography

Note

Notes for Asa Franklin Walters:
Appears on James William's birth certificate as Acie Franklin Walters
Appears in 1910 Concho Co. TX census as Acie F. at the time a sister Kate was living with he and Barbara. He was a farm laborer. Barbara's family appears in the same co. census as owning afarm. We
suspect he probably worked for his father-in-law. Barbara was expecting, and we think maybe Kate was living with them to help her. The Census says that his father was born in Alabama and his mother
in Missouri. Birth dates and location and death dates are from notes for James William's funeral. Could have actually been born in Round Rock near Austin in Williamson Co., Austin is Travis Co.
Kate is Mary Catherine
Texas Death Records from 1903-1940 show an A.C. Walters who died in McLennon 10/28/1918 cert#43484. I believe this is Acie.
