Biography

Elsie Alice Maud Walton was born in 1884 in Brentford, Middlesex, England to James Thomas Walton and Sarah Ann (Vaughan) Walton. Her birth was registered in Brentford in the first quarter of the year.[1]

In 1891 Elsie A Walton (age 7) lived at Hamilton Road in Ealing with her father James T (42, Labourer), mother Sarah A (43), and three lodgers: Elizabeth Duries (50, Living on Own Means), James Durie (48, Civil Engineer), and Roger N Chatton (22, Living on his Means).[2]

In 1901 Elsie Alice M Walton (age 17, School Teacher) lived at Hamilton Road in Old Brentford with her father James T (50, Waterworks Engine Driver) and mother Sarah Ann (51).[3]

In 1911 Elsie A M Walton (age 27, Certified Assistant Teacher) lived in Chiswick, Middlesex with her father James Thomas (61, Pensioned Engine Driver) and mother Sarah Ann (62).[4]

Elsie A M Walton married John Taylor in 1919. The marriage was registered in Brentford in the third quarter of the year.[5]

Elsie's mother passed away in 1927: "WALTON Sarah Ann of 96 Wellesley-road Gunnersbury Middlesex (wife of James Thomas Walton) died 5 January 1927 at Warkworth House Isleworth Middlesex Probate London 19 February to Elsie Alice Maud Taylor (wife of John Taylor). Effects £4265 3s 5d."[6]

Elsie's father passed away in 1930: "WALTON James Thomas of 96 Wellesley-road Chiswick Middlesex died 28 February 1930 Probate London 8 April to Frederick Sergeant undertaker and Elsie Alice Maud Taylor (wife of John Taylor). Effects £962 1s 7d."[7]

Elsie passed away on 20 Feb 1968: "TAYLOR Elsie Alice Maud of 96 Wellesley Rd Chiswick London died 20 February 1968 Probate London 19 April. £22797."[8] Her death was registered in Ealing, London in the first quarter of the year.[9]
