When Mary Inez Walton was born on February 4, 1901, in Coleman, Georgia, her father, Wilton, was 47, and her mother, Oza, was 26. She had one brother and two sisters and did not marry. She died on September 23, 1961, in Baldwin, Georgia,[1] at the age of 60, and was buried in Montezuma, Georgia.[2]
