Peter married Anna Veronica Lung, (1701 Alsace, France - 1755 Lancaster, PA) daughter of Jacob Lung (1674 – 1746) and Anna Elisabetha Wildermuth Lung (1678 – 1754), about the year 1719.[3]

Peter and his family arrived in Philadelphia in September 1741 on the ship Lydia. The following Wampflers were listed on the ship:
Hans Peter Wampfler, 40 years of age.
Hans Peter Wampfler, 18 years of age.
Hans Michel Wampfler, 16 years of age.
The ages are consistent with Peter's sons' baptism dates.[4]
By 26 September 1743 Peter was apparently living in the Swatara community in northern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.[5]
By 7 January 1746 Peter had moved his family 5 miles to the southwest to the Quittapahilla community in Lebanon Township, Lancaster County.[6]
Peter died in early 1749 in Lebanon Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His widow, Veronica, applied to administer his estate on 24 April 1749. Their sons Michael and Peter Wampler were her bondsmen. Bond was set at £300. Six days later Peter's estate was inventoried and appraised by Adam Ulrich and Hans Brechbiel. Peter’s personal estate was valued £184.12.0.[7]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peter by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peter:
Wampfler-5 and Wampler-47 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth dates, death dates and spouse. From my research most of the family originating France/Germany spelled their name Wampfler. After migrating to the US, name changed at naturalization to Wampler. Shall we standardize anyone in America to Wampler?
